Baytown Bulkheads Name Mason Goudeau as Head Coach
Baytown, TX – The Baytown Bulkheads are proud to announce Mason Goudeau as the team’s new Head Coach for their upcoming season. Goudeau, a native of Liberty, Texas, brings extensive experience as a player and coach, along with a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
Goudeau played collegiate baseball for the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in management at Texas A&M University. He also coaches travel baseball and works with Texas A&M Athletics. A lifelong athlete, Goudeau enjoys football and hockey, but baseball has always been his first love.
“Being able to bring high-level college baseball to my own community is a true privilege,” Goudeau said. “I was in these players’ shoes not too long ago, and I’m excited to help them become the best version of themselves on the field.”
Success for Goudeau goes beyond the scoreboard. “Winning is important, of course,” he said, “but if our guys come in every day and get even 1% better than they were the day before, we’re building something meaningful.”
Goudeau is particularly excited about building a team from the ground up. “Competing on the field is thrilling, but being part of creating a program, establishing a culture, and preparing players for their next level is an incredible experience.”
Beyond wins and losses, Goudeau wants the Baytown Bulkheads to be known for grit, toughness, and resilience. “I want our team to be the one nobody wants to face. Even if we get knocked down, we’ll get back up—and on the way, make sure the other team knows they’re in for a fight.”
Fans can look forward to a competitive, hard-working team and an exciting summer of college baseball in Baytown. The Bulkheads are committed to providing an entertaining and family-friendly experience while showcasing some of the best collegiate talent from across the country.
